New Acropolis Museum

Fantastic modern design for a museum, a live archaeology dig on the premises, and a stunning top-floor scale layout of the Parthenon exterior that you walk around and view while out the windows you look at the thing itself.  Job well done, Athens!

Too bad it was raining, but on the other hand it was pretty cool to have thunder rolling over the building while I was looking at 2000 year old depictions of Zeus!

In town for 3 days of training delivery ... haven't seen anything but the hotel and the airport, maybe I'll get out on Thursday night before a Friday flight home .... the glamor of travel!

Went to see the current show at the Hermitage Amsterdam today ... no pics inside the exhibit, unfortunately, but it was pretty spectacular.  The art and jewelry from 3rd-4th century B.C. was amazing.
