Is the NFL lockout big news in Europe

I believe the general response would be "Eh, what NFL lockout?"  No mention on the front page of BBC Sports.

They have their own sport for unusually large people to run into each other at high speed ... and I'm not talking about a Simon Cowell reality show ... it's Six Nations Rugby, where this weekend ancient feuds are renewed on the sporting field:  Ireland v. Wales today, Scotland v. England tomorrow.  Cue a Mel Gibson speech from Braveheart ...

Friday Photos

Quick trip down to The Hague today to drop off some equipment for our Benelux sales engineer Martijn, then back to my home office to install some new equipment of my own ... but it's my first Friday at home in a month and the sun was out so after some shopping for a couple office items in The Hague I was on a 2 pm train back to Amsterdam ... by 4:30 I was out to the grocery store and around the neighborhood.

The Hague

A few cam-phone pictures from my trip down to 'the office' in Den Haag today ... if I actually have an entire week in the Netherlands I stop in at the Hague office at least one day to catch up with folks, but it's mostly a Sales office and I have no real reason to be there if I'm not delivering a training. It's a 40 minute train ride from Amsterdam Central, then a 10 minute tram ride from Den Haag HS to our office.  Still, The Hague is nice.

Have I mentioned the Dutch like to shop?
... and shop?
The Queen's 'working palace' a block from the office ... no flag flying, she's not there (but often is)

A wild one at Camp Nou

No doubt the Dutch will be buzzing today about their World Cup star Robin Van Persie getting tossed out of the wild Arsenal - Barcelona match last night.  The town pretty much came to a stop last night at 9 pm as everyone in this football-crazy country tuned in to the Champion's League clash, and it didn't disappoint.  Sorrow in North London today as Arsenal was eliminated after Barcelona scored twice following Van Persie's ejection.
